About
I have been involved in business and finance for 10+ years, on both sides of the books. Corporate controller by trade, business owner by experience.
Why this exists
Those are two different kinds of education. As a controller you see how businesses actually behave from the inside, across good months and bad ones, with nothing hidden. As an owner you find out which of that knowledge survives contact with payroll, a slow customer and a truck that needs replacing in the same week.
Most owners never get either education. They learn the trade, build something real, and then get handed responsibilities nobody prepared them for. Then they get blamed for not knowing.
This channel is me handing over what I learned doing both, in the plainest language I can manage.
What this channel will not do
The space is full of people selling a result they have not produced. Here is what that means in practice.
-
No income screenshots
Nobody's revenue dashboard proves anything about whether their advice works for your business.
-
No manufactured urgency
No countdown timers, no closing-soon, no pretending a decision is more time-sensitive than it is. If an idea needs pressure to sell, it is not a good idea.
-
Nothing sold that does not deliver
If something gets offered here eventually, it will be because it does a job worth paying for, not because a funnel needed a product at the end of it.
-
No pretending to be certain
Some of this depends on your state, your industry and your situation. When it does, that gets said out loud, including when the answer is to go talk to a professional.
On the comments
Ask the question you think is too basic. You are not the only one wondering, and the person who has been at this twenty years had to learn it from somebody too. Tell us what worked and what did not. If I get something wrong, say so and show your work.
Three things get a comment removed: talking down to somebody, selling or pitching anything, and handing out advice as fact when you do not know the other person's situation.
